The InfoLine is free, confidential and professionally staffed
to assist the Geauga community with real direction and solutions to complex
and daily problems.
Last year 6,198 people with questions
and needs called 211for information and links to a wide range
of health and human services in the Geauga County area. Information
Specialists, using the comprehensive resource database connect
customers to hundreds of organizations that provide thousands
of services. Resources include basic need services such as
food clothing and shelter, as well as treatment programs for
substance abuse programs and counseling, and recreation and

Calls for emergency
food and financial assistance dominate the direct service
programs. Operating the Geauga Hunger Task Force the United
Way served food to Geauga residents last year. Over 40,000
pounds of food and $20,575 in grocery store vouchers were
given.
Information Specialists
also arrange financial assistance for households. Assisting
with rent, utility bills, medicine, transportation and other
critical needs.

can also assist those willing to give their time and talents
in finding the appropriate organization to serve.
