The Poverty Simulation was a great success!
It was a great way of helping others to walk in the shoes of some of our most at risk community members and it really left an impression on those who participated.
About 60 participants experienced what it is like to live in poverty in Geauga County each given a real life family situation and the task of navigating through a month of paying bills, seeking or maintaining housing and employment, and feeding their family.
We look forward to exploring ways to build on this event as we work together to improve lives. More to come on what participants learned!
